Timeline
I began working on Rebellion on September 21, 2025. I pulled an all-nighter and thought it was completed the next morning but something about it irked me. There was something off. I left it for months to wait patiently while I stared and contemplated her. I came back to her in March 2026 with a fresh perspective, and completed the painting on March 28, 2026
Painting playlist
I painted a lot of it in silence in the beginning. I was lost in the zone and the feelings I was pouring onto the canvas.
Easter egg
The bricks behind her is wallpaper I ripped off my closet wall. I was very in the zone and felt like it needed it and didn’t want to go out (and it was like 4am) so I just ripped it off the wall and pasted it to the canvas. No regrets.
